Sidharth is an alumni of NIFT, Bangalore with a working experience of more than 12 years. He has worked with various apparel industries in Delhi in the exports area dealing majorly with markets in Europe and Middle East. He has also worked for the domestic market, exploring the handloom and handicrafts section. He has worked with weavers and craftsmen in various places of the country and developed products in terracotta, embroidery, bell metal, bamboo craft etc. In 2010, his love for his homeland, Odisha, brought him back to this state where he started exploring the rich textiles of this place like Ikat, Bomkai and Applique. He has worked on various projects with Utkalika and Boyonika. He also takes keen interest in creating a bridge between art and design. With that aim he has worked with Utsha Foundation on 2 projects: Utsha Design Project where he mentored various artists in conceptual product development and Barbil Art Project which is a residency project involving various artists from around the country in Barbil. He has also been teaching design at premiere institutions like NIFD, NIFT, KIIT and JD Institute of Fashion Technology. In addition to that, he is also a trained contemporary dancer and choreographer. Presently, he aims to study the local, rural and tribal cultures of Odisha and create collaborative work with various artists and craftsmen for a global audience.
